Gorillaz replace U2 at Glastonbury
Gorillaz, a style-mixing group direct by British musician Damon Albarn, will change U2 as one of the headline acts with the Glastonbury Festival following the Irish band pulled out.
It is going being astonishing, an ideal, contemporary method to kick away the 40th anniversary celebrations,” organizer Michael Eavis explained Wednesday.
A back again personal injury suffered by U2 frontman Bono pressured the Irish rockers to withdraw from Glastonbury, which runs from June 23 to 27 in Pilton, in southwest England.
Eavis promises the June 25 exhibit, which will be Gorillaz’s only U.K. festival visual appeal, will be an audio-visual spectacle. When you buy MP3 music online on icanidisara.com, be prepared to find lots of high quality downloads for your MP3 player.
The Glastonbury physical appearance marks a surprising return for Albarn, who also fronts Blur — a person from the main Brit bands of the 1990s.

Albarn started Gorillaz with artist Jamie Hewlett in 1998 as a sort of anonymous digital band represented by cartoon characters. Hewlett was co-creator in the comic series Tank Woman.
Forming tunes that run the gamut of pop by way of hip hop and every thing else in in between, the band itself has long been joined by other artists. Albarn was the a person regular ingredient throughout its three albums: Gorillaz (2001), Demon Nights (2005) and Plastic Seaside (2010).
With important hits such as Dare, Dirty Harry and Think Very good Inc, the band has sold over 20 million albums throughout the world.
Quite a few artists contributed towards the most current launch such as Lou Reed, Mos Def, Bobby Womack, Mick Jones and De La Soul.
A statement sent For the Guardian paper through the band’s bassist — who goes because of the moniker Murdoc — declared: We’re like some great big horrible warship pulling into the bay of Glastonbury to avoid wasting the working day. It had been us or the Beatles and so they split up many years in the past.
